Mariposa Wind – A Poem

Mariposa Wind

Outside the smell of hot dogs
a Cup of Joe
for Joe
(that’s me)
consumed
by he (me)
under a tree
cool shade
ant pinched elbow
a bench with no romantic connection
old and aged
oars in the water
wet ladles
(lady mine)
under breaking waves
lake crystalline green
algae slurped edges
swift crack
baseball in the air
silver white satellite
(blue grey background
in business)
laughing Pomeranian
chack-chack-chackering paws
(burgundy sun
drunk on wine)
the long wall
the third day
(drunk?)
a mariposa wind fills the sky
